Paige Lancourt
Paige LancourtAssociate Head Coach
Paige embarked on her fitness journey at a young age, fueled by a deep love for soccer and mid-distance running. Throughout high school and college, her focus primarily revolved around light weight training and running. Even as a collegiate soccer player, she harbored reservations about heavy weight training, fearing the possibility of becoming “too bulky.” It wasn’t until a few years after her competitive soccer career concluded that she decided to venture into the world of CrossFit, initially without expecting any profound changes.

However, her decision to join a CrossFit gym in the fall of 2015 would prove to be a transformative one. CrossFit ignited a passion for Olympic weightlifting within her, along with the technical challenges presented by movements like the snatch and clean and jerk. She began setting her sights on achieving heavier lifts and faster times. For the first time in her life, she aspired to be the strongest person in the room, and she started celebrating her body for its newfound capabilities.

Starting her CrossFit journey in Santa Cruz, CA, where the sport originated, Paige was introduced to a unique local community that revered strong men and women. This vibrant atmosphere continues to thrive as she now calls Arbor CrossFit in Boise, Idaho, her fitness home. The unwavering support, individual responsibility, and uplifting sense of community are the driving forces that led her to pursue a CrossFit Level 1 certification and become a coach. Her primary mission is to instill confidence in athletes, whether they are newcomers or seasoned practitioners, just as the CrossFit community has done for her.

Dre, a native of sunny San Diego, spent her formative years immersed in the world of swimming, both in open waters and competitive pools. Outside the aquatic realm, she reveled in family adventures, culinary experimentation in the kitchen, and artistic pursuits.

Her journey led her from the California coast to Boise, where she became a valued member of Boise State’s Swim & Dive team from 2007 to 2011. During this period, she hasn’t only honed her swimming skills, but also earned her Idaho Teaching Credential. Post-college, she returned to California, but soon realized her inner athlete was still yearning for competition. McKenzie Johnson
McKenzie JohnsonClient Relations & Social Media Manager
Kenzie’s journey into the world of CrossFit began in the autumn of 2016, spurred on by the encouragement of her parents and older brother, who had already been deeply involved in the sport, both as participants and coaches. Initially hesitant, Kenzie had been a competitive dancer for 15 years, and the prevailing notion was that weightlifting would not align with the desired dancer’s physique. However, after officially joining CrossFit in early 2017, she witnessed a remarkable transformation. Her newfound strength and endurance not only enhanced her dancing abilities, but also reignited her passion for fitness.

Kenzie’s transition to college life prompted her to make a dedicated commitment to CrossFit, ultimately discontinuing her dance pursuits. For her, CrossFit is not just a means to stay in shape; it’s a platform for bonding with friends and family, a tool for conquering mental barriers, a channel for continued competition, and a vital stress-reliever.

Graduating from Georgia College & State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education in May 2021, Kenzie embarked on a new chapter by moving to Boise from Central Georgia. Her future plans include pursuing further education at Boise State University, where she aims to obtain a degree in Educational Leadership while engaging in substitute teaching. Beyond Arbor CrossFit, Kenzie’s interests include exploring the world through travel with her family, quality time with her boyfriend and their two beloved dogs, and seizing the multitude of outdoor opportunities that Boise has to offer, from exhilarating snowboarding adventures to leisurely river floats and invigorating hikes.
